24. Post Setup
So far lots of work has gone into setting up this NAS. There are simpler options and other methods and I know that no matter what some of you will need to change setting and search for work arounds. It took me two days to get Nextcloud installed and running mostly due to most information relates to Truenas and not TrueNAS Scale. Finding the balance or correct method was a challenge even with assistance. But luckily there is a usable guide here now, your welcome!
So up to this point I have researched and built a powerfull low powered NAS with a compact footprint. Installed Proxmox, Tailscale, Truenas Scale, Jellyfin and Nextcloud. At this point I can access my NAS (Proxmox) externally through Tailscale and Truenas Scale and its apps locally on my LAN.
Things I want to do no is make sure all apps load when Proxmox starts and access Nextcloud remotely, maybe Jellyfin to in the future. I also want to have backups – Yes backups! Remember the 3 2 1 rule?

Some tweaks and setups still to come
First thing Ive gone and done is in Proxmox I navigated to the truenas VM and set it to load at startup. Now piece of mind if my power goes out and comes back everything should reboot back to the way it was.
The second thing I did was attach an external HDD to my N2 NAS case (USB3) and mount the HDD in Proxmox for Backup storage. I set an automation to backup Proxmox VMs every week. I will use this storage to backup my files for Jellyfin and Nextcloud as well, just in case right!
Thirdly I Need to install Tailscale onto TrueNAS Scale so I can remotely access my files. I am also going to setup accounts for other users to use Nextcloud as well to store their own personal files.
